My Journey to Germany: A Dream in Motion
✈️ My Journey to Germany: A Dream in Motion
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to explore new cultures, grow both personally and professionally, and live in a place where opportunity meets quality of life. That dream, after years of dedication, learning, and planning, is now becoming a reality — I’m moving to Germany.
🌱 Where It All Started
I come from Assam and currently live in Bangalore, where I’ve spent the past few years building my career in Customer Success and Sales. I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse industries including real estate, healthcare, insurance, and BPO. Each role taught me valuable lessons — about people, communication, persistence, and business.
But I always felt I was capable of more — of expanding my vision globally and challenging myself in new ways.
🎓 Choosing to Study Further
With that mindset, I enrolled in an MBA program at Manipal University to strengthen my foundations in business and management. I also completed a certification in Salesforce Lead Management, which opened up more possibilities for working with tech-driven customer systems — skills that are in high demand globally.
🇩🇪 Why Germany?
Germany stood out to me for many reasons:
-
Its strong economy and demand for skilled professionals
-
A well-structured path through the Opportunity Card visa
-
A high quality of life with excellent healthcare, public transport, and work-life balance
-
A culture that values precision, discipline, and education — all of which resonate with me
I also started learning German three months ago. It hasn’t been easy, but every new phrase I learn brings me closer to the people and the country I’ll soon call home.
🧳 Preparing for the Move
Applying for the German Opportunity Card visa was a detailed process, but it gave me time to reflect on my journey — from handling clients in India to preparing for an international move. I’ve updated my CV, optimized my LinkedIn, started applying for jobs, and searched for rental housing in Hamburg. Not yet decided but almost done, my visa interview is on 22 july 2025, i hope all will be good .
I’m also connecting with fellow professionals, expats, and learners who’ve walked a similar path — and their stories inspire me daily.
💭 What’s Ahead
I don’t expect everything to be perfect — there will be cultural adjustments, job challenges, and bureaucratic hurdles. But I see all of that as part of the experience.
This isn’t just about finding a job abroad. It’s about growing as a global citizen, about building a life that’s full of learning, impact, and connection.
